Classrooms

Infant Room: 6 weeks to 18 months

Our infant room is filled with love and our staff nurtures the needs of our babies. They are all on their individualized schedules which helps us to meet the unique needs of each child. Here we create a fun atmosphere through music, story time, painting, blowing bubbles and more. Helping the babies to utilize their fine/gross motor skills, cognitive skills and develop emotionally by first having their needs met by another. This is the beginning of self-regulation which is further refined in toddlerhood.

Toddler Room: 18 months to 36 months

Learning through play is an integral part of our toddler curriculum. We introduce your child to the key areas of development through fun, as they engage in age-appropriate activities Social interaction is an important part of your child’s development. Modeling appropriate behavior and social skills we encourage children to play alongside each other. We foster gentle hands, walking feet and kind words in our toddler classroom. To help them develop their social skills they engage in various learning centers, such as imaginative play, puzzle time, block building, reading, music and arts and crafts. The daily bible lesson teaches them about God and how much He loves them. Fine motor skills are developed using a range of different materials including play-dough, paint, art tools and utensils, lacing cards, arts and crafts, puzzles, etc. These are all important activities that promote prewriting development. Math skills are developed with our toddlers through the use of manipulatives and cross-curricular activities. We explore shapes and space concepts and one to one correspondence. To encourage numerical sequencing the children sing counting songs.The teachers and assistants will also work with the parents to help potty train the children.

All of this is done through establishing that loving and safe environment giving your child a continued sense of security.

PreSchool: 3 year olds

In Pre-school your child will learn an abundance of new concepts, and build an excellent foundation for a life of learning. The children learn to respect adults, their peers and the things that belong to them and others. The teachers and assistants display and explain positive behaviors and encourage the children to do the same. Imaginative play is demonstrated, used for fun and as a tool for teaching opportunities. We promote the growth of self-respect through independence and encourage self-esteem in their achievements. Fine motor skills are strengthened through such things as the use of scissors and their writing skills through tracing lines and shapes. Math skills such as one to one counting and number identification along with simple addition are implemented. Circle time encourages group activities with discipline and team work. Your child will learn letter sounds, rhyming, and opposite words along with simple sight word reading. They enjoy various learning centers helping to improve social skills, such as imaginative play, puzzle time, block building, quite and reading, theatre, music and arts and crafts. The daily bible lesson teaches them about God and how much He loves them. Our full size gymnasium and outdoor playground helps enhance the development of gross motor skills and group play.

PreKindergarten: 4 year olds

Our 4 year olds are preparing for kindergarten, and it is essential to further develop their independence. We foster intellectual well-roundedness by teaching them problem solving strategies. Lessons on anti-bulling, friendships, teamwork and manners help to build the whole child. Your child will learn letter sounds, rhyming and opposite words along with simple sight word reading. Early literacy concepts and math lessons are taught with weekly and monthly themes. Writing is taught through the Handwriting Without Tears Program which helps build confidence in their ability to write and enhances fine motor skills. They enjoy various learning centers helping to improve social skills, such as imaginative play, puzzle time, block building, reading, theatre, music, and arts and crafts. The daily bible lesson teaches them about God and how much He loves them. Our full sized gymnasium and outdoor playground allow them to enhance their motor skills. All concepts and skills taught are fully aligned with the Common Core Learning Standards which will prepare your child for a successful transition into kindergarten.

School Aged Club: 5 year to 12 year olds

Our program is designed to meet the needs of the working parent and make your child’s experience fun and memorable. Children will participate in a variety of indoor and outdoor activities which include: homework time, crafts, gym time or playground time, games, free time, group activities and snack time.
